"I Stitch" is a cross-stitch chart with instructions translated in English.
The text says in French "I stitch, I sew, I quilt".
What we like about this design: each one of the 3 patterns composing the design can be stitched separately; it makes a nice banner to hang where you do your stitch work.
Design stitch count: 40 wide x 186 high
Design area:
- 3,3 x 17 cm (1⅜ x 6¾ in) on a 32 count fabric if stitched as a miniature
- 7,3 x 33,8 cm (2⅞ x 13¼ in) on a 28 count fabric or on a 14 count Aida
- 6,7 x 31 cm (2⅝ x 12¼ in) on a 32 count fabric
- 6,4 x 29,5 cm (2½ x 11⅝ in) on a 16 count Aida
Special stitches: This is a cross-stitch design with some straight stiches, a few smyrna cross-stitches and two (optional) French knots.
Threads and colours
This pattern shows 12 colours (DMC stranded cotton numbers on the chart).
The model on the picture has been stitched on a 32 count linen colour "white" as a miniature using one strand of cotton over one thread of fabric. The sewing machine on the pouch was worked in full size on a 40 count linen. But you can work this design on the fabric of your choice using two strands of cotton over two threads of fabric / one block of Aida.
Recommended Fabric: of your choice regarding the type (linen / evenweave or Aida if you slightly adapt he pattern) and the stitch count, colour "white" or "off-white", 25x50 cm (10x20 in)
