Design area:

11,4 x 8,2 cm (4½ x 3¼ in) on a 32 count fabric if worked as a miniature (one strand of cotton over one thread of fabric)
22,8 x 16,5 cm (9 x 6½ in) on a 32 count linen
21,7 x 15,7 cm (8½ x 6¼ in)on a 16 count Aida
24,9 x 18 cm (9¾ x 7 in) on a 28 count linen or a 14 count Aida

Special stitches: This is a pure cross-stitch design with very few back stitches.

Threads and colours

This pattern shows 7 colours:

4 references of DMC stranded cotton
3 references of Gentle Art or ATALIe threads (counterpart in DMC references available on the chart)

ATALIe threads are shaded hand-dyed cotton (or silk) threads by French designer ATALIe; their subtle shading gives a special outcome to your stitching. The model on the picture has been stitched on a 32 count Zweigart linen fabric (colour Platinum) using one strand of cotton over one thread of fabric.

Recommended Fabric: 32 count Zweigart Platinum, dimensions 20x20 cm (8 x 8 in) if worked as a miniature or 40x 35 cm (16x14 in) if worked with two strands of cotton over two threads of fabric. Or the fabric of your choice, colour "Ecru" or "off white".
