"Gentle Way of Life" is a cross-stitch chart with instructions translated in English.

This is a 2 part design but you can stitch it as a whole.

Design stitch count: Tree = 65 wide x  48 high and Birdcage = 67 wide x 46high

Design area:

• Tree = 5,4 x 4 cm (2,1  x 1,6 in) on a 32 count fabric if worked as a miniature (one strand of cotton over one thread of fabric)
• Tree = 10,8 x 8 cm (4,7x 3,4 in) on a 32 count linen
• Tree = 10,3 x 7,6cm (4 x 3 in) on a 16 count Aida

• Birdcage = 5,6 x 3,8 cm (2,2  x 1,5 in) on a 32 count fabric if worked as a miniature (one strand of cotton over one thread of fabric)
• Birdcage = 11,2 x 7,7 cm (4,4x 3 in) on a 32 count linen
• Birdcage = 10,6 x 7,3 cm (4,2 x 2,9 in) on a 16 count Aida

Special stitches: None, this is a pure cross-stitch design.

Threads and colours

This pattern shows 14 colours:

• 10 references of DMC stranded cotton
• 4 references of ATALIe threads (counterpart in DMC references available on the chart)

The model on the picture has been stitched on a 32 count linen fabric (Zweigart ref Belfast colour Platinium) using one strand of cotton over one thread of fabric.

Recommended Fabric:  32 count Zweigart ref Belfast colour Platinium or 16 count Aida, dimensions 30x15 cm (12 x 6 in)  if worked as a miniature in 2 parts or 40x 30 cm (16x12 in) if worked with two strands of cotton over two threads of fabric.
