"Winter Square" is a counted cross-stitch chart with instructions translated in English.

Design stitch count: 85 wide x 85 high

Design area:

• 10,6 x 10,6 cm (4⅛ x 4⅛ in) on a 40 count fabric
• 12,1 x 12,1 cm (4¾ x 4¾ in) on a 36 count fabric
• 14,2 x 14,2 cm (5⅝ x 5⅝ in) on a 32 count fabric
• 13,5 x 13,5 cm (5⅜ x 5⅜ in) on a 16 count Aida
• 15,5 x 15,5 cm (6 x 6 in) on a 28 count fabric or on 14 count Aida

Special stitches: This is a pure cross-stitch design with very few back stitches (reindeer's mouth).

Threads and colours

This pattern shows 9 colours:

• 4 references of DMC stranded cotton
• 5 colours with both Gentle Arts and Atalie threads references (counterpart in DMC references available on the chart)

The model on the picture has been stitched on a 40 count linen fabric (colour Flax) using one strand of cotton over two threads of fabric. But you can stitch it on a lower count fabric using two strands of cotton over two threads of fabric.

Recommended fabric: of your choice regarding the type (linen, aida or evenweave) and the stitch count, colour "flax" or "light natural linen", 35x35 cm (14 x 14 in).
