"In the Land of the Rising Sun" is a counted cross-stitch chart with instructions translated in English.

Design stitch count: 125 wide x 81 high

Design area:

• 10,4  x 6,8 cm (4 x 2⅝ in) on a 32 count fabric if worked as a miniature (one strand of cotton over one thread of fabric)
• 20,8 x 13,5 cm (8⅛ x 5¼ in) on a 32 count linen or evenweave
• 19,8 x 12,9 cm (7¾ x 5 in) on a 16 count Aida
• 22,7 x 14,7 cm (9x 5¾ in) on a 28 count linen / evenweave or on 14 count Aida

Special stitches: This is a cross-stitch design with very few back stitches.

Threads and colours

This pattern shows 12 colours:

• 9 reference of DMC stranded cotton
• 3 references of Gentle Arts threads (no counterpart in DMC references available: you will have to pick your own DMC colours or to buy the Gentle Arts threads from your usual supplier).

The model on the picture has been stitched as a miniature on a 32 count linen fabric (colour Natural Linen) using one strand of cotton over one thread of fabric. But you can stitch it in full size (using two strands of cotton over two threads of fabric) on the fabric of your choice, including Aida..

Recommended fabric: of your choice regarding the type (linen,evenweave, Aida) and the stitch count, colour "Natural linen" or "light natural linen", dimensions 30x25 cm (12 x 10 in) if worked as a miniature or 40x 35 cm (16x14 in) if worked with two strands of cotton over two threads of fabric.
